How we use your personal information
The only personal information we gather is through:
Purchases, where the only details available to us are your name, address, email, phone number (if supplied) and products ordered. We use Paypal to process payments. We do not hold your personally identifying information anywhere other than Paypal after an order has been fulfilled. You can access Paypal’s User Agreements and Privacy Policy on their website. We do not collect anonymous postcode data, unaligned to personally identifying information, for internal use in order to facilitate our audience reporting to Arts Council England;
When you apply to take part in a competition we are running. This information is used primarily as a way of contacting you as part of the competition;
When you become a member of our mailing list, where only the email you provide us with is collected. This information is used only to provide you with an occasional email bulletin, featuring Culture Recordings news, marketing and special offers. Very occasionally we may ask you to consider donating to a crowdfunding campaign or email you regarding things you may be interested in. All data is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time by clicking ‘Leave Mailing List’ at the bottom of the email;
When you contact Culture Recordings staff directly (by email or via the contact form). This includes any RSVP to events, where we will only keep your name and email address in a password protected document to communicate further instructions or changes to events, up until the point at which the event takes place, after which we delete this document from our server.
Emails
You will not receive mailing list e-mail from Culture Recordings unless you have first consented to be contacted through our website. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from Paypal of orders placed, but you will not be placed on any of our mailing lists without your consent, nor will personally identifying data collected in the ordering process be used. Following an order, you will be redirected to a page offering you the opportunity to join our mailing list. You will only receive an email direct from Culture Recordings if there is a problem with your order.
Culture Recordings own and manage culturerecordings.co.uk and consequently do not pass on customer details.
