Flo Perlin biography
Born and raised in North London, with Iraqi and Belarusian heritage, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Flo Perlin grew up surrounded by an incredibly diverse range of music which has influenced her own personal and musical landscape ever since. Flo learned to play cello from the age of five and subsequently taught herself guitar and piano as a way to begin writing the songs to tell the stories that moved through her. She has performed her songs (as a solo artist and with her band) to audiences across the UK and in the US.
Flo released her debut album Cocooned via Culture Recordings in 2017 to much critical acclaim – ‘As good as anything I’ve personally heard for some time, a pleasure to find and review’ (Tom Robinson’s Fresh On The Net), ‘Her voice is that of an angel…her songs feel like they are written from the depths of her soul’ (With Just a Hint of Mayhem). Her E.P. Stories was released in 2019, with her song My Company championed by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music.
